Consumer Marketing Intern

Job Description

The Global Consumer Marketing team is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the Visit Orlando's brand to create awareness and drive visitation to the destination. Additionally, the Marketing Departments work closely with advertising and creative agencies to develop and implement relevant in-market campaigns that include integrated media channels, promotions, broadcasts, CRM and other relevant consumer touch points. Markets include US, Canada, UK/Ireland, Brazil and Mexico.

The Consumer Marketing Intern duties may include the opportunity to:

  • Work on multiple projects with multiple leaders at the same time
  • Involve in researching, planning, and executing global marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with external agency partners
  • Complete special research projects as assigned
  • Work with other disciplines (areas) of the company
  • Track competitive information for a variety of initiatives
  • Assist with sponsorship programs and signature events such as Magical Dining
  • Attend broadcast initiatives and signature events (if possible)
  • Attend department and client meetings
  • Work in an ever-changing atmosphere where each day presents a new project and learning experience

Qualifications

Basic

  • Strong organizational, communication and writing skills
  • Basic computer skills – to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint - are required

Preferred

  • Previous marketing internships a plus
  • Ability to speak and write Spanish or Portuguese a plus.

**Interns will be paid $15 per hour, must be enrolled in classes, & must be able to work between 20-24 hours a week. (Flexibility in days/hours)
